Goodreads images

This is the answer I got when I reached out to Tess Woods about the lack of warnings available for her book, The Venice Hotel. Her response addressed me by name, but that is not the name I use in social spaces. My question was  "Hi Tess I was going to ask this on Goodreads, but saw you have shut questions there. I'm wondering if there is a particular reason you chose not to include content warnings in The Venice Hotel, either in the book or on your website? There are some very triggering topics in the book that are not indicated in the blurb, such as the abuse and eating disorder Elena is experiencing and the homophobia, among others."  Response received August 7th 2025
